§ A495-9. Annexation Ordinance No. 9.

    Territory annexed. In accordance with Sec. 66.021 of the Wisconsin Statutes and the petition for direct annexation filed with the Village Clerk on the 9th day of November, 1998, signed by a number of electors residing in the territory equal to at least 20% of the votes cast for governor in the territory at the last gubernatorial election, and the owners of at least 50% of the aforesaid property either in area or assessed value in the territory, the following described territory in the Town of Bristol, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, is annexed to the Village of Pleasant Prairie, Kenosha County, Wisconsin:
    (1) 
    Part of the Northwest Quarter and part of the Northeast Quarter and part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 24 and part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 13, in Town 1 North, Range 21 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, lying and being in the Town of Bristol, Kenosha County, Wisconsin and being more particularly described as: Beginning at a point on the south line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 24 which is N 88°59'34" E 313.47 feet from the southwest corner of said quarter section; thence N 01°00'26" W 25.00 feet; thence N 88°59'34" E parallel to the south line of said quarter section 768.47 feet; thence N 43°54'28" E 187.35 feet; thence N 01°05'07" W 684.94 feet; thence northeasterly 391.21 feet along the arc of a curve concave to the east; said curve having a central angle of 24°39'52", a radius of 908.83 feet and a chord which bears N 11°14'46" E 388.19 feet to the east line of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 24; thence N 02°08'34" W along said east line 99.14 feet to the north line of the South Half of said quarter section; thence S 88°55'18" W along said north line 1321.44 feet to the west line of said quarter section; thence N 02°12'39" W along said west line 1319.76 feet to the northwest corner of said quarter section; also being the southeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 24; thence S 89°00'16" W along the south line of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 24, 1323.345 feet to the west line of the East Half of said quarter section; N 02°03'35" W along said west line 2645.13 feet to the north line of said quarter section; thence N 89°03'43" E along said north line 1320.26 feet to the northeast corner of said quarter section; also being the southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 13; thence N 89°01'03" E along the south line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 13, 2153.14 feet to the southwest corner of Certified Survey Map No. 585, a plat of record; thence N 02°29'23" W 969.92 feet to the northwest corner of Certified Survey Map No. 586, a plat of record; thence N 89°01'03" E along the north line of said certified survey map, 494.00 feet to the east line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 13; thence S 02°29'23" E along said east line 969.92 feet to the southeast corner of said quarter section; also being the northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 24; thence S 02°06'17" E along the east line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 24, 2636.15 feet to the southeast corner of said quarter section; also being the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 24; thence S 02°04'29" E along the east line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 24, 2645.93 feet to the southeast corner of said quarter section; thence S 88°59'34" W along the south line of said quarter section 2326.35 feet to the point of beginning; containing 375.004 acres, more or less; subject to public highways over and across the southerly and easterly portions thereof and subject to easements and restrictions of record.
    B. 
    Effect of annexation. From, and immediately upon adoption of this ordinance the territory described in Subsection A shall be a part of the Village of Pleasant Prairie for any and all purposes provided by law and all persons coming or residing within such territory shall be subject to all ordinances, rules and regulations governing the Village of Pleasant Prairie.
    C. 
    Severability. If any provision of this ordinance is invalid or unconstitutional, or if the application of this ordinance to any person or circumstances is invalid or unconstitutional, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the other provisions or applications of this ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid or unconstitutional provision or application.
    D. 
    Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect upon passage as provided by law.
